Abbey was a very dear friend of mine. We had met through a mother's group when we were just babies, and from there we grew to be best friends. Growing up, I had always looked up to Abbey, and really admired her constant joyful spirit and perseverance despite all she was going through, and I still do. Throughout the years we spent together Abbey shared so much of her wisdom with me and taught me many life lessons, and I know that the same applies to everyone else who met her.

Abbey was always thinking of others, and shared how it was her wish to support these families dealing with childhood cancer, and how important it is that they are brought closer together, and that’s why we are all gathered here today, to bring Abbeys vision to life.  To have known Abbey is a blessing, and I truly wish everyone had the honour of being in her presence. The memories we made together are ones that I will cherish forever. Her legacy lives on through this foundation and all the good that has come out of it is a true reflection of Abbey and her pure spirit.

Although the foundation hosts these events, the support that is provided to these families wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you. So, on behalf of the Abbey Solo Foundation, we would like to say a BIG thank you for being here today and for being a part of something so special. Thank you.
