Row for Alofa : Michelle and Monica's Dragon Boat Adventure
Commitment to Abbey Shines at the 19th Australian Masters Games
Michelle, our dedicated Secretary, and her daughter Monica, lifelong friends of the Solos, showcased their commitment to Abbey by participating in dragon boat racing at the 19th Australian Masters Games from 7th to 14th October 2023 at Scullers Reserve, West Lakes South Australia.
Among the 50+ sports featured, dragon boat racing captivated athletes and spectators alike. Cheering on participants from Diamond Phoenix Club, we celebrated their achievements and embraced the camaraderie of team sports, promoting health, wellness, and fun.
Placing 8th out of 20 clubs, our crew of 16 showcased determination despite being the smallest team, with our best time at 01:04.52.
